Benefits:
Salary for PL-1 residents for 2008-2009 is $43,800 annually and changes each year. Health insurance is paid at 100 percent for single coverage; additional spouse coverage is $50 per month, and spouse and child coverage is $100 per month. Life insurance coverage of $50,000 is provided at no charge. Malpractice insurance is provided. Ten vacation days and nine sick days are offered to PL-1 residents. Other residents are given 15 vacation days with the same number of sick days.
PL-2, and PL-3 residents who are in good standing are eligible for five days per year for conference attendance and may qualify for travel funds. Two lab coats are provided per year. Medical books (Zitelli and Med Study) are provided for residents.
