FAPTP: Florida Association Of Pediatric Tumor Programs
For nearly three decades, the Florida Association of Pediatric Tumor Programs (FAPTP), Inc. has carried out its mission to ensure improved childhood cancer care in Florida. As its programs grow and mature, FAPTP continues to attract special recognition in state and national arenas. FAPTP began in 1970 as a coordinated statewide network of Children's Tumor Programs under the auspices of the Florida Regional Medical Program (FRMP). In 1973, the FRMP participants created a nonprofit corporation called the Florida Association of Pediatric Tumor Programs, Inc to unite Florida physicians interested and knowledgeable in pediatric oncology; promote the science and practice of the specialty; and maintain high standards of care and research.
